Dunlap Reef Rear Range Lighthouse was constructed in 1881 to mark Dunlap Reef, which is an approximately half-mile long reef that can protrude a few inches above or below the surface of Sturgeon Bay, depending on the water level of Lake Michigan. It originally included a set of Front and Rear Range Lights. The Dunlap Reef Rear Light was sold and moved ashore, minus the lantern room, and now serves as a private residence.
