The Door County Historical Museum was built in 1939 and contains the most expansive collection of Door County artifacts in the world. It was named one of the “Best Small Museums in the Midwest” by the Chicago Tribune. Exhibits include a “Seasons of Life” wildlife diorama, beautifully restored vintage fire engines and a fully functional vintage jail cell. In the lower level you can walk the streets of a historic village and window shop a variety of stores, including the famed F.W. Woolworth Co. Five and Ten Cent Store.

The Museum is open from May 1st through October 31st, and on weekends from November 1st through December 12th.
