Open Door Bird Sanctuary is a 34-acre sanctuary providing homes for birds of prey that are un-releasable. They have a total of five aviaries, a small nature center and a home for the resident bald eagle. They have 19 raptors that call the sanctuary home and are continually adding more. The sanctuary also has hiking trails that traverse through prairie, hardwood forest and pine forest habitat.
The sanctuary is open regularly to the public on Saturdays from late June to early September, but they are always happy to book private on-site tours by appointment year-round.
