The Washington Island Ferry is a car ferry for transporting passengers and vehicles to and from the Door Peninsula mainland and Washington Island. It runs every day year-round, with more limited runs during the winter season.  The ferry departs from Northport Pier (address listed) and can hold 149 passengers and 18-22 standard vehicles at a time.

Tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis. Pets are permitted if on a leash or in a vehicle. Washington Ferry Line also runs a two-hour narrated Cherry Train Tour on Washington Island. Tours begin and end at the ferry dock and include four stops at attractions along the route. Pets are not permitted on the tram tours. An additional passenger-only ferry runs from Jackson Harbor on Washington Island to Rock Island four times per day from late May to mid-October.
