von Stiehl Winery is a historic, civil war era gem and Wisconsin’s oldest licensed winery. Built in 1868, the 10,000 square foot production facility and three underground cellars are housed in a building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The winery produces more than 80,000 gallons of wine per year. Take a tour to see how a production winery operates. Follow it up with a glass of wine on the three-tier terrace overlooking the Algoma lighthouse and Lake Michigan or relax in the top floor lounge. The winery is open year-round, 7 days a week! Please call ahead to reserve a tour.
