Crossroads at Big Creek is a 200-acre nature preserve with miles of hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails. Crossroads consists of the Big Creek Preserve, Ida Bay Preserve and The Cove Preserve.
The John & Helen Collins Learning Center contains exhibits on native wildlife, a greenhouse, learning laboratory and more. A schedule of events and special programming is available on their website, and they are happy to accommodate groups.

Ahnapee Trail
The Ahnapee Trail is part of a Rails to Trails program across Wisconsin. The former rail bed has been converted to a crushed limestone surface and runs about 48 miles from Sturgeon Bay south to Algoma and Kewaunee. There is a parking area at the Sturgeon Bay trailhead
