The Rahr-West Art Museum is a historic Victorian mansion housing an array of modern and fine art. Their collection includes artwork by O’Keeffe, Warhol, and Picasso. The Museum was named one of USA Today’s “10 Great Places to See Art in Smaller Cities” and one of “America’s Best Small Town Museums” by Travel+Leisure magazine. In 1962, a fragment from the Sputnik IV fell through the atmosphere to earth and landed just outside the Museum; visitors can see a replica of a Sputnik fragment. Groups are happily accommodated by appointment.
