Located on Wisconsin’s north coast, Superior embraces the western most tip of Lake Superior and is bounded by the St. Louis, Superior and Allouez Bays, and the St Louis and Nemadji Rivers

Within the midst of the harbor area is Barker’s Island, our waterfront playground, including the S.S. Meteor Maritime Museum, Seamen’s Memorial statue, miniature golf, playground, band shell, swimming beach, charter fishing, the Osaugie waterfront trail, and the Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve’s headquarters.

Barker’s Island Marina is a full-service, 420-slip facility where boaters enjoy a clubhouse, tennis courts, ship’s store, repair service, and sailboat rentals, instruction, and charters. Guest docking and heated indoor winter storage are available. The marina is conveniently located near lodging, restaurants, shopping, and three of our five museums.
