Door Peninsula Winery began in 1974 in a historic schoolhouse built in 1868. The building was chosen in large part due to the thick basement walls, making it ideal for storing wine. Since that time the winery has experienced multiple expansions and has grown to be the largest winery in Wisconsin. They have a massive selection of classic and fruit-inspired wines and ciders, which are available for tasting in their tasting room. Door Peninsula Winery is attached to the Door County Distillery.
