Sheboygan Indian Mound Park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and consists of fifteen acres containing 18 rare Indian burial mounds. The effigy mounds are dated around 500 to 750 A.D. and are deer, panther, intaglio, conical and linear shaped. The Open Mound exhibit contains artifacts and replica skeletal material. The Park features a walking path for easy viewing of the mounds and a boardwalk trail through the wetlands.
