Schlitz Audubon Nature Center is a 185-acre nature preserve located on the shores of Lake Michigan. The property has six miles of hiking trails that wind through forests, ponds, prairies, and shorelines. Some trails are accessible. If you’re up for it, climb the 60-foot observation tower for some great views of Lake Michigan and the forest. If you enjoy birding, the Center has a bird checklist available, which includes 238 species of birds. Groups and motor coaches are welcome.
