A charming Lake Michigan shore community of about 3,000, Kewaunee bears equal proximity to both Door County and Green Bay. The stunning, deep water harbor invites you in to a spirited community with a rich history, plenty of amenities, and seasonal activities for all.
Kewaunee’s marinas boast 172 slips for recreational boaters. This includes a fleet of licensed charter boats available to deliver anglers to some of the best trout and salmon fishing on Lake Michigan, proclaimed by some to be the “Salmon Capital of the Midwest”. Kewaunee is home to one of only three fish spawning facilities in the state, the Besadny Anadromous Fishery Facility. Head to the below water viewing area to find steel head and brown trout, Coho and chinook salmon, spotted muskellunge, and lake sturgeon returning in the spring or fall to spawn.
Kewaunee County is the only county in Northeastern Wisconsin with public trails for ATVs. The Riverview ATV Park is an excellent facility with a hill climb area, intense use challenge course, picnic areas and restrooms. We have 20 miles of trails here and plenty of room for more riders. Kewaunee truly is Wisconsin’s best kept secret. Be our guest! You may never want to leave.
October 30th – April 30th office is closed for the winter.
