Ashland’s own microbrewery carries on Wisconsin’s great brewing heritage. Established in 1995, it is Northern Wisconsin’s first microbrewery and the home of the award-winning Nut Brown Ale. The Ashland location is in a historic downtown building shared with Deep Water Grille. They also have a taphouse in Washburn.
Interesting fact: the Nut Brown Ale took 2nd place in the 2022 World Beer Cup held in Minneapolis, MN. 10,583 beers were entered from over 2,400 breweries in 56 countries.
